Ko te hau tōnui o Jett me tōna kaupapa whakaruruhau kuīni — our rangatahi beekeeper, Jett, leads our queen bee rearing kaupapa. By nurturing strong mother queens and fostering genetic diversity, she ensures our hives thrive and ecosystems flourish across Aotearoa. Her mahi aroha sustains pollination, biodiversity, and kaitiakitanga for future generations.

Mā te tuku iho, ka ora te kaupapa — by passing down mātauranga (knowledge) and tikanga (practices) from one generation to the next, our whānau upholds the spirit of kaitiakitanga. Elders share rongoā tips and hive wisdom with rangatahi, ensuring every beekeeper carries our land’s stories and responsibilities forward.

Haerenga aroha — from the first light of dawn when our whānau waihanga (work) begins in the East Coast bush, to the warm hues of dusk when each jar is lovingly topped, every drop of Whenua Honey embodies our whakapono (belief), manaaki (care), and kaitiakitanga (guardianship). Ko tō mātou aroha (our love) ki ia pūtau te whakarite i te kounga — taste the reverence we pour into every spoonful of our golden taonga (treasure).

Mā Mahuta e ārahi
Meet Mahuta, our whanaunga Richard's  Māori-speaking kuri (guardian dog). Fluent in te reo Māori, he responds only to our reo calls—an embodiment of tikanga and kaitiakitanga on the whenua. At times, he finds a moment of rest beside Sol, another vigilant kaitiaki of the land, reminding us that guardianship is a shared journey.
